Patrick’s Story

I was born in Milan (Italy) from an Italian mum and a French/Australian Dad, so I’m actually an Italian, French and Australian citizen, but my accent is more French than Italian so when people ask me what I am I always said I’m a FROZY!!!!! JAJAJAJA!!!! (French/Ozy or a Frog/Ozy jajajaj!!!!)

I lived in Italy during my first 12 years and then I moved with all my family to France, I have also 2 sisters a bit older than me. Since my first age I have always been involved in sport and because I was living in Italy I grew up with a strong love for soccer (Football).
Football was for long time my unique passion because it gave me the feeling of being physically good after every training or games, and more than that, it taught me discipline in life. Thankfully, this beautiful sport taught me to transfer this discipline to everything I did: my study, jobs, swimming, gymnastic, kitesurfing, paddle boarding, surfing, diving….etc

I moved to France and started a new life in a new country, new friends and new language, because when I arrived I didn’t talk French at all……since then I feel like my life is always a challenge! Thankfully I love challenge in life and to push to do always be my best.

Because of my youth, I learnt to socialise faster on my own in new places, and after years of study I decided to became a dental technician. I did this for 8 years but inside me I always had this feeling of freedom and a dream to discover the world and end up in Australia- so I decided to quit everything, my job, friends, girlfriend and of course my family and get ready to discover the world.

I started by moving to Morocco and get my Kitesurfing instructor licence, then from there I went around the world to compete and teach this beautiful sport for 15 years.

After those amazing years I decide to follow my dream and found myself in Australia. What a Beautiful country!!!!! Instantly I decided to drop my languages and started my new life here. I felt so in love with this country I then decided that Australia will be my home and specially the Gold Coast.

I love to be close to the ocean and practice my favourite sports, Kitesurf, SUP and swim. I found my first a job very quickly at Surffx store where I was in charge of the Kitesurf, Paddleboard and Hydrofoil section, but something was missing, and one day I found what was it……To Help People! To help sport people get back on track and get better, so I decided to start my course as a Massage Therapist.

I love this job as a Massage Therapy and more than a job, it has quickly become a passion. I love to know about human anatomy and learn new techniques and value being a part of the mygcphysio team.
